The Fastnet Rock Experience

Sail past Ireland's tallest lighthouse and watch for marine wildlife in the Atlantic Ocean.

Tours to Fastnet Rock depart from Baltimore or Schull and take you 13 km off the County Cork coast. You cannot land on or enter the lighthouse, so all viewing happens from the ferry deck.

The towering 54-meter granite structure marks the turnaround point for the famous Fastnet Race. Known as the 'Teardrop of Ireland,' it was often the final sight of land for 19th-century emigrants sailing to North America.
